Small tools for
deliberate trades.
RiskSized turns a trade idea into a visible set of numbers and constraints. It does not tell you what to buy or predict where a stock will go.
Why this tool exists
Position-sizing calculators often return a share count without explaining whether risk, cash or concentration actually determined it. Profit calculators often ignore how that position was chosen. RiskSized connects those steps so a new or intermediate stock trader can inspect one coherent plan before placing an order.
What the MVP does
The first release supports long and short stock plans, risk-based sizing, cash and leverage assumptions, account allocation caps, fixed and percentage commissions, slippage, net stop/target/custom outcomes, break-even exit, reward:risk and break-even win rate. Plans can be shared, printed, exported or saved locally.
What it deliberately does not do
No real-time quotes, ticker search, brokerage connection, account registration, AI stock analysis, watchlists, options, portfolio tracking or personalized recommendations. This narrow scope keeps the calculation transparent and prevents stale market data from looking authoritative.
Editorial approach
Field notes explain the same calculations used by the tool, with reproducible examples and limitations. Content is written for education, not to promise returns. The methodology is public, and external execution guidance is linked to primary sources such as Investor.gov.
Review and corrections
The MVP and articles were last reviewed November 1, 2026. Financial products, broker rules and order behavior can change. Material calculation or content corrections should be reflected in a new review date and documented in the project README. At this MVP stage, there is no server-side support desk or user account system.
Independence and monetization
RiskSized displays a labeled Google AdSense advertisement at the bottom of Field Notes articles. Ads do not influence calculations, educational conclusions or planner results. RiskSized does not sell trading data, accept broker affiliate placement or receive compensation for trade volume. Advertising partners may process data as described in the privacy policy.
Read the privacy policy and disclaimer, or open the planner.
