A calculation is not
a recommendation.

RiskSized provides educational arithmetic based on your assumptions. It does not assess whether a trade is suitable, likely to succeed or appropriate for your finances.

No investment, tax or legal advice

RiskSized is not a broker, investment adviser, fiduciary, tax adviser or law firm. Outputs and articles are general educational information, not personalized recommendations, solicitations or endorsements. Consider a qualified professional who understands your circumstances.

Estimates can differ from actual outcomes

Results depend entirely on user-entered prices, costs, slippage, leverage and account values. They may be wrong for your situation even when the arithmetic is correct. There are no live quotes or broker-specific order, fee and margin rules. Verify all order details independently.

Stops do not cap losses

A stop order can execute away from its trigger, and a stop-limit order may not execute. Gaps, volatility, illiquidity, trading halts and partial fills can produce losses greater than the planned stop scenario. “Risk budget” and “planned loss” never mean guaranteed maximum loss.

Stock, margin and short-selling risk

You can lose part or all of a long investment. Leverage can magnify losses and lead to margin calls or forced liquidation. Short selling has theoretically unlimited loss potential and can involve borrow costs, recalls and changing margin requirements. The planner excludes financing and borrow costs.

No performance claims

Break-even win rate is arithmetic for two fixed hypothetical outcomes. It is not a prediction or evidence that a strategy is profitable. Historical examples and sample inputs do not represent expected returns. Taxes, dividends, corporate actions, currency effects and market impact may change results.
